english challenges

I think that this course really helped me to improve some bad things about my english.
i went to an english school when i was younger so i think that i have a really good english level, i mean im no expert but i can keep conversations with anglospeakers very well. but one thing that i learned that i did not know is my grammar.
i think i had no problem with the talking and listening, i can watch movies or tv series with no need of subtitles for example, but i think that in school i never really learned was to write correctly.
i think that was one of the things that this course taught me well, to write propperly.
for example i always had confussion with the verb have in different times and in different contexts, but now i think that i can do it much better.

In other thing, i also learned to use the blogger app, i never used it before, i am a little clumsy with internet and computers, and maybe im still having troubles with finding the "new entry" button to wrtite a new post for example, but still i think now i could, if i want in the future, start bloggin about my amazing and no- boring -at all- life.

also i had a really good time in the class because this year we have no classes together with my classmates and this class was the only one where i could see them and chat about our proyects and lifes, also we usually went out after class and share some refreshing liquids.

2015 reflections

We are almost finishing this year, december its usually a month that people use for having reflections about the ending year.

To me it's not a tradition, i dont see the year as a cicle that ends in one point and starts in some other and goes on and on like that, i see things a little different, i dont see my life as a structure of ewweeks and days, but i know that i live in a school system that force me to acomodote into that, becausee we have to have a weekly program and a schedule to attend classes im time and stuffs like that.

So for the purpose of the current life i guess i have to see days and months in that way.
And for the purpose of this blog i will do a 2015 reflection.

This year im finishing my graduate studies in universidad de chile's film school.
In order to do that i have to write an investigation, finish al my pending courses and film a shortfilm.
Im almost finishing asll of that, but we had a really big problem with the short film taht made us  start all over again in december instead of being about to finidh it.
the thing is that the director of my proyect, where i was the script writer, was eliminated of the school because of some curricular problems, so the school decided to end our proyect and we had to start writting a new one from scratches.

so im really sad and sleeppy

Summer Plans

I really haven't figured it out yet. Im still thinking im tryng to finish my last semester in school.
im not quiet done yet.

i still have to finish a movie script, write an investigation about film festivals and write english blogs.
But i have some ideas that i think that i always want to do in every summer, every time but i never actually get to do all of them.
I would like to travel with some firends or with my brothers, i think i would prefer someplace in chile rather than going abroad.
I would also like to go for some weeks to visit my father that lives really close to santiago, but in the year i hardly have time to visit him due to school things and other stuffs, so i think i have to visit him for at least two weeks.

Now what i DO have to do is to find a job and finish my practicce hours.
Im trying to change the place im living right now, so in order to find a new apartment i first have to collect some money to pay the first two months of rent.
So one of my first priorities is to find a job that allows me to do that and that doesnot take that much time.
And the second thing i just mentioned is to find a practicce to finish my professional grade. In ICEI Uchile you have to complete 600 hours and i only have done like 100 so im a little worried about that

My Favorite Tv Series

I think watching TV  its one of the things i like to do the most.

Its like just getting home in the night and turning on the screen to hear the noises kind of relaxes me somehow so its something like a rutine for me. Well nit was, now I don’t have that kind of spare time to just sit for hours and do nothing but watch a screen, and when I get home I usually have to keep working cause the day really seem like its shorter everytime. But when I did I always watched the same thre things: Friends, Black Mirror and The Mexican Soup Opera “Rubi”.

The three shows are really different between them.

Friends is a classic sitcom from the 2000’s that I grew up watching and that I think that I’ve already seen all of its episodes but I can still sitdown and watch it and laugh of the jokes that I know by hearth. There is something about that stupid tv show that makes it really fun every time.

Black Mirror is really different its kind of a ciber post apocalyptic futurist dramish that evcery episodes tells one story involving social media, internet and human absurd. For example one of my favorite episodes shows a group of people living in some kind of black box that makes them have to ride a bike to earn point and the one that collects more points in a month its choosen to be on a live tv show and becomes a tv star which are the only ones that doesnot have to ride the bikes and earn points.  Maybe im not explaining it very well, but I truly recommend it.

And finally one of my favorite of all times: Rubi. Rubi it’s a Mexican sop opera made by televise like ten years ago that for some reason ended up in Netflix. Its about a poor young sexy woman that wants to become a rich person in order to stop suffering in her life. Its really really really bad, in every way, but that’s what makes it so good.

how green am i

I think i am not green at all. Not because i don't care, but i find myself not thinking of this at all in a daily bases.
I mean, who can be not green at these days, maybe no one, being green is cool, is what advertising sells right now. Being green, being an activist and living in prodivencia is what everyone should do.
Na, im just kidding.
Of course im pro being green, i care about the world i live in and i wouldn't like to live in a toxic waste plant as my neighborhood its just i don't remember it every day. i mean i do throw my garbage in cans and not in the street, i buy organic garbage bags and i don't smoke cigarettes but thats it. of course being green in these days requires more commitments. commitments im not sure i could accomplish. its just too hard and sometimes i think that thats not even my responsibility, i mean all i do is throw a few pounds of garbage every two days and then suddenly im responsable for the worlds life. i think there's a problem there, i think the respnsbles are other people, people who actually kills the worl every day with their activities and that they manage to make the whole world feel responsable for their crime, people like mining companies for example.
so no, i am not green at all.

my pets

Today we have to talk about pets.
I don't have any pets right now because i live in a small apartment building and i don't have enough time to give a good life to them.
I think there are a lot of people that are really selfish and they don't think in the animals they have, they just think in them. But if they would maybe they wouldn't have them, because having pet involves so much more than just feeding them. you have to really take care of them, take the time and money to give them a good life.
When i was younger i lived in Copiapo and there we lived in a big house with a big yard so we had lots of pets. We had four dogs, all of them were cocker spaniels and we also had 3 ducks, one hamster and two cats.
I think that more important than the space, that its really important for animals to live good and happy, the really important factor is to be aware that you are responsable of another life, that having a pet its not a game that you can play until you are bored, that its a really important responsibility.
Thats why even though i really like dogs im not going to have one until i have the right pace and time to pet him properly.
Sometimes i think i could have one of those small pets that some people have in apartments, bur i think they are really ugly and that more than dogs they actually look like rats, really big and expensive rats.

my favorite film

I really dont know if i have a favorite movie of all times, actually i think that i like a lot of movies for different reasons and iun different times. For example I recently watched “madre mia” from Italian director noni moretti, and I thought it was really cheesy and “cliché kind of movie” but the acting in the cast of actors was so touching and real, that now I think that even though the script and history was not what I would personally do as a filmmaker, the acting makes me actuyally like the movie.

I think that’s one thing I’ve learned this last years, to measure every film or piece of work in I’ts context and possibilities and to not try to compare them with what I would do, because with that measure method almost no film would approve.

But if I would have to choose one movie that I really really like, I would have to choose “Tony Manero” from Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain.

Tony Manero portraits a really violent period of the Chilean dictatorship but chooses to do it the story of a strange man whos only dream is to win de look a like contest of Tony Manero in “el show de la una”, in that context the Chilean political and social context seems to pass by but it enters these characters life in the form of an foreign movie idol.

This is my last year in Fim School so I’ve been thinking a lot in this.

When I first started in this school I had no idea of what the actual film career was like, especially in a small country like Chile, I thought that maybe you could start working in little producer agency or advertisement place to make some money and have time to do my movies in my spare time.

But now, five years later i’m not so sure about it.

I don’t have any job offers and actually I think that I wouldn’t like to work in a little producer agency or in advertisement. I think that their jobs are really different of what I like to do.

That could be scary for some people, but I really don’t think I care, I think I could do anything that allows me to pay a rent and live with some friends. I obviously like doing films, but there is no need of having a job to do that, all you have to do is apply to a governments founding and wait.

I think that what I would really like to do is go to another country in south America and study something else that could help me in what I do, like arts or something like that. But I really don’t know L

The country i would like to visit is Colombia.

Im pretty sure we old have heard about Colombia´s attractions and beautiful places.

This country is the only nation in our continent that has both access to the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean and also has many islands like San Andres and Catalina. San Andres its supposed to be one of the grates party places in Latin America. This island recives thousands of visitors from all over the world and another great amount from their own country.  Actually there is a tradition in Colombia that all seniors in highscool after they are graduate, their parents give them as a gift a trip to San Andres Island for a whole week.

There are also other things like coffe, or sightseeing all their natural environment.

But the main two reasons of why I would like to go to this country is because there lives one of my best friends, Felipe, who recently had to leave Chile and return to Colombia to see his family and complete his studies.
The second reason its because studying there its almost free, and their films schools an industry are really good.
